SAN RAMON, Calif. – Recognized and adored for its substantial menu of superfoods, Vitality Bowls announced today that it has sold more than 3.5 million açaí bowls to fans across the country.
“We are incredibly proud to reach a milestone like this in our seventh year of business,” said Tara Gilad, founder and owner of Vitality Bowls. “We are very grateful for our team, which is made up of dedicated individuals who truly care about customer wellbeing and experiences. The passion and health-consciousness from our team and customers are what helped us reach 3.5 million—that is a lot of acai bowls.”
The groundbreaking successes don’t stop there for the brand, either. Vitality Bowls also reached a new milestone of selling 1 million acai bowls in record time, hitting more than 1.3 million bowls sold by August 2018 and surpassing its own record in achieving this same milestone in years past.
Aside from record-breaking sales, 2018 has been a paragon of the brand’s exponential growth. 10 cafes have opened so far in 2018 and an additional 10 are projected to open before the end of the year. The superfood café brand has more than quadrupled in size since launching franchising efforts in 2014, with more than 100 cafes open or in development today.
“I am still blown away by the continuous support from our loyal customers” added Gilad. “People are realizing that healthy doesn’t have to mean boring, and dining out doesn’t have to be unhealthy. As a brand that values wellness, we are overjoyed to see so many people choosing to enjoy healthy, nutritious food options.”
Originating in Northern California, Vitality Bowls has solidified itself as America’s superfood café – combining a dynamic café vibe with a unique collection of menu items containing high nutritional values and extraordinary tastes. All items on the menu are made to order for each customer and are prepared in a kitchen designed to avoid cross contamination for customers with food allergies. All of the brand’s bowls and smoothies are free of ingredient fillers such as ice, frozen yogurt, added sugar or artificial preservatives, giving the purest taste possible.
The menu features the widest variety of unique superfoods, including graviola, acerola, mangosteen, camu camu, spirulina, aronia, moringa, maca, bee pollen and more. Guests can choose from a variety of delectable options, such as the Green Bowl (with organic graviola, spirulina and hemp seeds), the Dragon Bowl (featuring organic pitaya, coconut milk and bananas) and the signature Vitality Bowl (with organic açaí, strawberries and honey). Plus, fresh juices, smoothies, soups, panini and salads are available in each café and most locations offer organic cold brew nitrogen-poured coffee and organic kombucha on-tap.
