IOWA CITY, IOWA – Forget the pumpkin spice, because fall just got a lot more flavorful at Pancheros Mexican Grill.
The fast-casual Mexican chain announced today the kickoff of new limited-time menu addition that strikes the perfect parallel of tangy and spicy – the Steak Chimichurri.
Launching nationwide on October 29, the new Steak Chimichurri LTO debuts at the perfect time, appealing to the senses with its colorful aesthetic, fragrant aroma and distinctive taste, just as the temperatures outside begin to decline towards winter.
The tangy cilantro, lime and garlic chimichurri sauce is combined with marinated steak and mixed together using BOB the tool, making it a cohesive experience and the perfect addition to any Pancheros burrito, quesadilla, burrito bowl, taco or salad.
“Though traditionally served on steak, the flavor of our chimichurri sauce is incredibly versatile,” said said Rodney Anderson, founder and CEO of Pancheros. “It’s made using a simple recipe, but fuses together three drastically different flavors for a piquant taste and multisensory dining experience."
Pancheros fans and burrito enthusiasts across the country can enjoy Steak Chimichurri for a limited time only from October 29 to December 14.
About Pancheros
The beginning of Pancheros dates back to 1992 when Rodney Anderson opened the brand’s first restaurant in Iowa City, Iowa. Originally modeled after the Chicago taquerias that Anderson had visited often with his friends during his teenage years, the brand’s pursuit of constructing a better built burrito launched Pancheros into an evolution based on simplicity and fresh-pressed tortillas.
Since it’s humble beginnings, Pancheros has earned a loyal following for redefining the standards of modern burritos by using fresh-pressed tortillas and perfectly-mixed ingredients with the help of BOB the Tool, a unique plastic spatula used to carefully mix ingredients together to create the perfect taste in every bite.
Amid its popularity, the brand has successfully grown from its roots and today a robust franchising program has led to approximately 70 locations across 13 states.
