Maui Wowi appoints new leaders

Maui Wowi today announced the appointment of Justin Livingston to VP of Business Development, a newly created position at the company. Livingston has been with Maui Wowi for eight years and served as the brand's director of Global Franchise Development, according to a company press release.

Livingston will focus on growing and expanding the brand domestically, while taking on an integral role in the expansion of the brand's international program, Mike Weinberger, CEO of Maui Wowi, said in the release. He will also spearhead a new licensing program designed to increase the presence of Maui Wowi products with the goal of building the overall equity of the brand and driving business to franchisees, according to the release. In addition, Livingston will work closely with the brand's Directors of Regional Support to help them grow their areas with successful franchisees and increase the brand's presence in each of those regions.

"Justin has robust knowledge of our company and our franchisees, and knows exactly how to execute the right programs to help drive us forward," Weinberger said. "His appointment as our Vice President of Business Development reflects recognition for the remarkable accomplishments over the past several years and our confidence in him as we continue to accelerate revenue and franchise growth."

The company has also promoted three other employees to newly created positions, including:

  • Eric Richardson: promoted from senior project manager of construction to director of construction services
  • Misty Hartner: promoted from events and venues manager to senior manager of franchise support
  • And Jaci Kuntz: promoted from front office manager to franchise support coordinator

The positions were created based on the company's growing needs as it anticipates an active year of continued expansion of its retail store model, as well as its stronghold in the events and venues market, Weinberger said.

"Building a great team is the foundation for success throughout the company," he said. "Our goal is to continue providing unparalleled support to our franchisees that sets them up to be successful business owners. It's always rewarding to see employees grow within the company and be recognized for their hard work and dedication to the brand."
