The Camp Transformation Center is Named to Franchise Times Top 200+ List

CHINO HILLS, Calif. – The Camp Transformation Center (The Camp), a national brand featuring fitness centers that focus on inspiring powerful physical and emotional transformations, announced today that it has been named to Franchise Times’ Top 200+ list, which is an exclusive ranking of the 500 largest franchises. Based on the company’s worldwide system sales and number of locations, The Camp has been rated as one of the largest franchise brands in the country; there are more than 3,000 franchisors in the United States.

This recognition validates the tremendous growth the company has experienced in only its first year into franchising. In 2017, the brand generated $44,942,000 in sales across 97 locations. Since January, The Camp has opened 10 new locations and has an additional 15 in the pipeline for 2019.

“We are humbled to achieve this incredible milestone,” said Alejandra Font, co-founder of Southern California-based The Camp. "This ranking is a direct result of our hard-working franchisees, their dedication to members and belief in our concept. We look forward to continuing this momentum as we grow into new markets and transform more lives across the United States.”

Franchisees are attracted to The Camp’s low-investment model and the thriving culture of each gym. Setting The Camp apart from other fitness franchises is its low start-up costs (in the $120,000 - $350,000 range). In contrast, other fitness concepts can cost well over $500,000 to open. Locations are typically situated in light industrial spaces spanning 4,000-5,000 square feet, which helps to reduce overhead.

Using a combination of companies’ voluntary reports and the most recent franchise disclosure documents, the Franchise Times Top 200+ is an annual ranking of the 500 largest franchise systems in the United States by global systemwide sales, based on the previous year's performance. The project is the result of a five-month research and reporting effort each year that results in the most credible and objective franchise ranking available.
To qualify for the ranking, companies must be a legal United States franchise, with its headquarters based in the United States or at least 10 percent of their total units located in the country. Franchisees must also own at least 15 percent of the company’s total units.

Ideal franchisees showcase an unwavering desire to help people with compassion and empathy. While not necessary, an aptitude for sales is preferred along with leadership skills and a collaborative disposition. The Camp supports its franchisees with proven marketing, sales and operations programs, including a robust opening strategy to bring people into the initial signature six-week Challenge. Cultivated to attract individuals or teams with an ambition to succeed, strong values and solid community and business connections, the franchise investment opportunity also offers significant efficiencies of scale for multi-unit investors.

The Camp blends a positive group training setting with dynamic interval workouts, nutrition and supplement plans and highly qualified trainers. Franchisees drive membership through seven annual challenges. Successful Challengers most often endear themselves to The Camp and become long-term members.
