Hi-Five Sports Zone Announces Upcoming Opening in Northbrook Court

NORTHBROOK, Ill. – North Shore families…lace ‘em up and get ready – Hi-Five Sports Zone is coming soon to Northbrook Court!

The nationally acclaimed sports program with local North Shore roots dating back nearly 30 years announced today that it is opening a new, state-of-the-art youth sports center in a mall, and Northbrook Court is its home. Just after the New Year, local parents and children will have access to high-quality children’s sports programming at the North Shore’s iconic shopping destination. Renowned for transforming and enriching the lives of kids ages 3-13, Hi-Five Sports Zone will serve families in Northbrook and the surrounding communities, including Highland Park, Deerfield, Glencoe, Glenview and more.

The Hi-Five Sports Zone will be located on the second level of Northbrook Court (1515 Lake Cook Road) directly above the Apple store near Center Court, where local children can enjoy the diversified, year-round sports programs. The 14,000 square-foot facility incorporates space for a variety of the program’s sports activities including basketball, football, baseball, floor hockey and soccer. Within the complex, there is a basketball court, a turf field, event space for birthday parties or large gatherings, and a lounge area for parents.

Additionally, due its convenient location, busy parents can drop their children off to learn the fundamentals of team sports while they shop. The addition of the Hi-Five Sports Zone complex will not only be the first in a strategic move by Hi-Five to explore other non-traditional locations for the brand, but also the second Hi-Five Sports Zone to open across the country.

“There is no doubt that a new day has arrived for malls, including Northbrook Court. Our Hi-Five Sports Zone fills a massive void for malls that are seeking dynamic tenants that command consumer appeal,” said Danny Tuchman, co-owner of the Hi-Five Sports Zone in Northbrook Court and the son of Hi-Five founder Marv Tuchman. “My brother, Ryan, and I spent a lot of time in Northbrook Court growing up, and we’re excited to now have an impact on a place that holds so many memories for us. We hope that other kids and families can make their own memories at Northbrook Court with Hi-Five.”

Hi-Five Sports Zone provides an environment where life lessons such as teamwork, problem-solving and leadership -- to name just a few, are taught through sports to kids at young age. Through its dynamic approach to sports, which it calls youth sports entertainment, making activities full of fun, yet challenging and inclusive of fundamentals, Hi-Five Sports Zone has built a rock-solid reputation.

Beyond teaching the core fundamentals of a variety of sports, such as basketball, football, baseball and soccer, in a fun entertaining way, Hi-Five Sports Zone has an expanded set of offerings to serve an even larger audience. It has developed year-round programs for all ages, which include:

  • Hi-Five Annual Summer Camps
  • Little Ballers, Lil’ Heismen and Tot Multi-Sport Classes
  • Day-Off School Camps
  • Birthday Parties
  • Flag Football and Basketball Leagues and Clinics
  • After School Enrichment Programs
  • Drop-In’s
