Homewatch CareGivers Adds New Leadership Role to Spearhead Healthcare Innovation in Senior Care

DENVER – Homewatch CareGivers announced the addition of a new vice president of strategy and healthcare innovation to further solidify its position as a leader in the home care and healthcare industries.

Jennifer Ramona will help shape how senior and healthcare industries can better integrate with patient-directed home care, through concepts including business model expansion, strategic alliances and payor strategy development.

“Jennifer’s position is unique in the industry, allowing her to devote all of her energy to driving thought leadership and building partnerships with crucial players throughout the healthcare continuum,” said Julie Smith, CEO of Homewatch CareGivers. "As she works to leverage our partnerships with all the different segments of healthcare, such as hospital systems, rehab centers, skilled home health providers, hospice, geriatric care managers and tech companies, she puts us in an exceptional position to communicate the needs and preferences of our clients and families to other providers, and in turn help create positive outcomes.”

“We look at a client’s whole health, lifestyle and care needs, all of which impact that person’s ability to maintain his or her health and wellness,” Ramona said. “Senior care is integral to the overall cost and care outcomes of individual patients, and my top priority is to advance our position as an essential partner in the healthcare continuum and create better health outcomes.”

In addition, Ramona’s role will allow Homewatch CareGivers offices to position themselves more effectively in their local markets, with greater marketability.

Homewatch CareGivers provides home care services for families arranging care for senior-aged loved ones and others living with chronic illnesses, convalescing after illness or surgery or who prefer to age in their own homes under the supervision and care of highly trained caregivers. With nearly 200 units across 34 states domestically, as well as in Canada, Central America and South America, Homewatch CareGivers is planning to open up to 15 to 20 franchised locations annually.
