PHOENIX – Daily Jam isn’t yolking around as it aims to shake up the competition with the announcement of a strategic growth initiative for 2019.
Known for its unique classics like the Pear Omelet, PB&J smoothie and Red Velvet Waffles, Daily Jam announced today plans to expand into the world of franchising. With its new growth strategy in place targeting several new key markets, Daily Jam projects to add as much as 20 signed agreements over the course of 2019.
“Daily Jam is pushing the envelope on the modern-day brunch experience with a fast- casual setting offering a full-service experience, and the vibrant, high-energy atmosphere will excite even our groggiest guests,” said Berekk Blackwell, President of Daily Jam. “Daily Jam offers customers the convenience of fast-casual food without compromising on quality. We pride ourselves on providing a gourmet brunch experience that offers a unique take on the classics and our growth plans will make Daily Jam every brunch and breakfast enthusiast’s “go-to” neighborhood breakfast spot across the United States.”
Previously known as NCounter, Daily Jam’s first location, which opened in 2011 in Tempe, Arizona, is revered far and wide by students and families alike as the best breakfast in town. Soon its reputation grew, drawing in young professionals and tourists to Tempe’s booming Mill Street. Two additional locations opened in Phoenix on North 1st Avenue and Mayo Boulevard, and it quickly became clear that Daily Jam wasn’t just a Millennial favorite, but a fresh take on breakfast and lunch dining that the whole family could enjoy.
“Entrepreneurs are drawn to the concept because they have the opportunity to build an exciting business in a booming category and still be home for dinner,” added Berekk. “Daily Jam offers a better work-life balance – we want our franchisees out and enjoying time with their families. Our ideal franchisee is someone who ‘jams’ with the upbeat and eclectic atmosphere we’ve established. We are a totally fresh concept, and we want people who will help shape and grow the brand as we continue to expand.”
After successfully establishing a strong brunch empire in Arizona, Daily Jam is now targeting its franchise growth into several new key markets, including Phoenix, Las Vegas, Denver and Dallas.
As Daily Jam begins offering the opportunity to potential franchisees to grow the concept nationwide, the brand is seeking sophisticated multi-unit operators with previous experience in restaurant operations. Potential candidates must also be eligible to obtain a liquor license and thrive in a fast-paced, energetic atmosphere. Franchisees will receive plenty of managerial and operational support and will be expected to understand and execute the operations and managerial processes of the business.
In order to be eligible to open a Daily Jam franchise, candidates must have at least $500,000 in liquid assets (individual or partnership) and net worth of $1.5 million (individual or partnership).
The preferred square footage of the area for a Daily Jam location is 2,800 to 3,800 square feet, with a suggested 200 square feet for a patio. The targeted market areas are hotels, business parks and offices, high-density residential areas, and entertainment and universities.
Demonstrating its commitment to the community, Daily Jam uses locally sourced ingredients and coffee to help grow the regional economy, reduce its carbon footprint and infuse its menu with local flavor.
