Young Rembrandts Kindles Creativity of Kansas City’s

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Young Rembrandts has etched its name as the leading childhood art enrichment program with the recent opening of a new territory that brings its proprietary art education curriculum to more kids in Kansas City.

Locally owned and operated by franchisee Gabriela Godoy, the new Young Rembrandts territory serves the Kansas City area, including Kansas City, Overland Park, Leawood, Shawnee, Mission, Roeland Park, Prairie Ridge, Lenexa, Atchinson, Basehor, Bonner Springs, Gardner, Edgerton, Olathe, Spring Hill, Stilwell, Tonganoxie, Lansing, Lawrence, De Soto Leavenworth and more. This opening builds on the momentum of a sensational national campaign launched last year celebrating the brand’s 30th anniversary, and positioning Young Rembrandts to become the recognized leader in art education in Kansas City.

“I grew up in an extremely musical family that encouraged expression through various forms of art,” said Godoy. “I wanted to instill those same ideals in my own children, so I registered my son for a Young Rembrandts course. His cognitive and artistic growth was apparent from day one, and because I had been looking to make a career change, Young Rembrandts quickly became the obvious choice. I am so excited to bring that same level of growth and enrichment to other children in Kansas City”

A unique art enrichment program that solely focuses on cognitive development through drawing, Young Rembrandts is based on the belief that when foundational art skills are taught to preschoolers and elementary students, there is a strong correlation between that involvement in the arts and future strong academic performance and personal achievement.

Godoy joins Young Rembrandts following a 20-year career in telecommunications. Her experience in sales, management, network engineering and project management have aided in her preparation for business ownership. A mother of two and now new business owner, Godoy has always found motivation in new challenges and her energetic personality will allow her to thrive.

“Every time we add a new member to our team, we have the opportunity to showcase the passion and dedication our franchisees bring to the students and communities they serve – I am confident that Gabriela will continue this legacy,” said Bette Fetter, founder and CEO of Young Rembrandts. “I know that Gabriela will make an outstanding new member of the Young Rembrandts family, and her commitment to teaching the children of Kansas City will make the new location a crucial partner in helping children develop cognitively and discover their inner artist.”

The opening in Kansas City is part of the brand’s strategic growth initiative, as Young Rembrandts targets 20 to 25 more signed agreements through 2019, in addition to the Kansas City opening this year.

Through its unique methodology that gives kids the confidence to create skilled artwork, Young Rembrandts helps boost cognitive development, hand-eye coordination, spatial learning and critical thinking skills. Unlike many other childhood art enrichment programs, Young Rembrandts provides students with a tangible takeaway project with each lesson. Students are able to learn a new technique and complete an exceptional piece of artwork within a single class period.
