Franchise Industry to Gather in Denver for Technology Mindshare
International Franchise Association hosts FranTech 2014 April 10-11
DENVER - The International Franchise Association (IFA) will hold FranTech 2014: Digital Marketing & Technology Best Practices Conference on April 10-11 at the Marriott Denver City Center in Denver. The conference is designed for franchise professionals looking for help and information in the rapidly changing field of technology, security and social media as it relates to their franchisees and overall franchise systems.
The FranTech conference differs from others in franchising by focusing specifically on technology and provides tactical information and solutions to issues franchises are struggling with today. The conference is also attended by a diverse group of executives, from CEOs and CIOs, to marketers and digital and social directors who are on the front lines of technology for their franchise systems.
“The task force has developed this year’s event around Consumer Marketing, Franchise Development, and Operations topics,” said Ken Colburn, CFE, President/CEO of Data Doctors Franchise Systems, Inc. and FranTech 2014 Task Force Chair. “This event is filled with amazing speakers, DJ Patil has been at the forefront of technological innovation for more than 20 years and he will keynote this year’s conference.
Patil, who is data scientist in residence at Greylock Partners, will share invaluable insights into the latest tech trends, the ramifications for the global economic landscape and the way we consume data. His work has been featured in leading newspapers and magazines, on national news segments, and was also the subject of a CNN documentary.
Some of the more prominent speakers joining Dr. DJ Patil include Tim Resnik, product strategy principal at MOZ, who will discuss local search and how it pertains to franchisees. Kevin Johnson, CEO of Secure Ideas, will discuss data collection methods, how organizations can use that data securely, and some of the typical vulnerabilities Secure Ideas finds in these collections.
Some of the General Sessions and Panel topics include: “Taking Your Entire Franchise System to the Cloud: A Case Study,” presented by Brian Spindel, CFE, President & COO, Postnet International Franchise Corp. “The New Era of Lead Generation…,” moderated by Deb Evans, CFE, President Franchise Foundry. “Success with Automated Marketing – More Than Just Technology,” moderated by Sherri Fishman, President, Fishman PR.
