IOWA CITY, IOWA – Pancheros Mexican Grill announced today two major role expansions within its existing leadership team along with the addition of a new social media manager position.
Nanette Beiner, formerly the director of real estate for Pancheros, has taken on an expanded role at the company. Now Chief Administrative Officer, Beiner will lead the charge on all administrative functions including: accounting, human resources, benefits and technology. Additionally, she will continue to provide real estate support to both the corporate team as well as to franchisees as they navigate site options for their locations.
“The expansion of my role comes at a pivotal time for Pancheros, and I look forward to expanding my ability to serve as an adminstrative resource within the company and franchise system,” said Beiner. “I look forward to streamlining high-level administrative efforts so we can continue to flourish as a brand on the consumer and franchise development side, as well as internally as a team.”
In addition to Beiner’s role expansion, Ryan Murrin, previously the vice president of marketing, has taken on the role of Vice President of Marketing & Franchise Development. Murrin joined the Pancheros team in September of 2018 and has since taken his 15-plus years of restaurant marketing experience to enhance Pancheros’ marketing program.
“Pancheros has undergone a robust marketing strategy revamp over the last six months to prepare the brand for widescale growth,” said Murrin. “We’ve started to build capabilities and functions to drive sales through a refreshed brand campaign, a new social media strategy, a unified customer experience approach and integrated marketing planning for our franchisees and company operated restaurants. In tandem, we’ve also revamped our franchise recruitment marketing and content over the last few months, and I look forward to taking on the addition of franchise development for the brand. This is an opportunity to connect all the dots for a brand that has a passionate, loyal following and position it as a great investment for experienced restaurant franchise owners.”
In his new role, Murrin will lead all consumer marketing and digital strategies for Pancheros as well as spearhead its franchise development efforts to find innovative ways to attract more multi-unit restaurant investors.
In addition to the role expansions for Beiner and Murrin, Alexis Puebla has been hired on to the Pancheros team in the newly added role of Social Media Manager. In her role, Puebla will work with company leadership to define the social media strategy, engage Pancheros fans and create content. The new role will allow Pancheros to expand its social media strategy and presence, and will solidify the brand as a leader in the fast-casual market.
About Pancheros
The beginning of Pancheros dates back to 1992 when Rodney Anderson opened the brand’s first restaurant in Iowa City, Iowa. Originally modeled after the Chicago taquerias that Anderson had visited often with his friends during his teenage years, the brand’s pursuit of constructing a better built burrito launched Pancheros into an evolution based on simplicity and fresh-pressed tortillas.
Since it’s humble beginnings, Pancheros has earned a loyal following for redefining the standards of modern burritos by using fresh-pressed tortillas and perfectly-mixed ingredients with the help of BOB the Tool, a unique plastic spatula used to carefully mix ingredients together to create the perfect taste in every bite.
Amid its popularity, the brand has successfully grown from its roots and today a robust franchising program has led to approximately 70 locations across 13 states.
