PHOENIX – Big blue dogs will soon be roaming the streets of Arizona. HydroDog, a dog grooming salon on wheels, is targeting the Grand Canyon State for franchise growth. With the abundance of dog owners in the area and being home to one of the most dog friendly cities in the U.S., the growing franchise has announced it is looking to partner with 10 owner-operator franchisees in the region in 2019 alone.
Founded by Australian entrepreneur Anthony Amos, HydroDog is best known for its exceptional dog grooming services ranging from conventional to luxurious, all offered inside the “Big Blue Dog,” a fully-functional, technologically-advanced dog grooming salon on wheels.
Hydrodog’s Arizona expansion is being led by Martin Kupper, company COO, Area Developer and franchisee. Kupper comes to HydroDog with a commitment to developing business growth strategies that produce powerful results. With an extensive background in franchise sales, commercial real estate, leadership, business development and philanthropy, Kupper has mastered being an excellent facilitator of relationships that connect passion with success.
“Anthony and I met 10 years ago, and we strengthened our bond on the original Bathe to Save Tour when we held an event raising awareness for animal adoption benefiting the Arizona Humane Society. I saw the great opportunity HydroDog presents to the franchise industry and animal shelters across the United States,” says Kupper. “When Anthony asked me to become Chief Operating Officer of the new franchise company and Area Developer for Arizona, I jumped at the offer. I look forward to growing the franchise in my home state.”
Kupper is targeting Chandler, Gilbert, Fountain Hills, Mesa, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Flagstaff and Tucson for initial market growth. The mobile franchise is looking for qualified franchisees that have business savvy, a love of dogs, a passion for rescue and adoption, and an eagerness to drive the concept around town. Franchisees will receive a six-week training program, superior support both regionally and from the corporate office, a hands-on relationship with founder Amos, and marketing and business development programs.
With more than 3.3 million dogs in shelters across the country, HydroDog is committed to doing its part to raise awareness for animal rescue and adoption. Every franchisee is expected to host Bathe to Save events in coordination with his or her local shelter, where they will wash dogs that have been left behind in an effort to give them a better chance at finding their forever home.
ABOUT HYDRODOG:
HydroDog was founded when Anthony Amos, an Australian rugby player, decided to use his down time to start his own business. At 21, he founded the mobile dog grooming business. He quickly turned to franchising to meet the high demand the business experienced and HydroDog grew to over 200 franchises across Australia. Now, the brand is expanding the revolutionary dog grooming franchise in the United States with its mobile grooming salon in the shape of a big blue dog. Recently, Anthony and his family completed a 30-month tour visiting all 48-continental U.S. states with their big blue dog, washing and saving thousands of shelter/rescue dogs as part of the company’s Bathe to Save initiative. That example has trickled down to the HydroDog area representatives, who orchestrate Bathe to Save events in their respective markets in an effort to raise money for local shelters/rescues and increase dog adoption.
