Pancheros Mexican Grill Launches Delivery Service

IOWA CITY, Iowa – For more than 25 years, Burritos Better Built have brought Pancheros Mexican Grill’s guests through its restaurant doors. Today, the fast-casual Mexican chain is returning the favor with the launch of a new delivery service bringing burritos directly to the doors of its loyal guests.

As online ordering and delivery reshape the restaurant industry, Pancheros is launching delivery on the Pancheros App with online food ordering solution, Olo. Utilizing Olo’s Dispatch service, Pancheros will offer delivery at scale with leading delivery service providers, such as DoorDash and Postmates.

Guests will order on the Pancheros App, selecting delivery rather than pick-up at the end of the ordering process. Orders will then be picked-up in store by third-party delivery service providers before reaching Pancheros guests.

“Being accessible to the greatest amount of people has always been one of our top priorities,” said Rodney Anderson, founder and CEO of Pancheros. “With our new delivery capabilities, we are getting our product to guests for a new occasion. Expanding our delivery efforts is a natural next step to remain relevant in the restaurant industry. After seeing such positive results in our initial tests, we’re confident this will be a big win for our restaurants, franchisees, and guests.”

Pancheros launched the delivery capability through a partnership with Olo, an on-demand interface platform that simplifies online ordering for restaurant operations and guests. Olo is helping the restaurant industry embrace digital hospitality while building on their existing systems. The systemwide delivery service launch includes all Pancheros locations within markets currently supported by the ordering platform.

“We’re thrilled to work with the Pancheros team as they expand their digital footprint to serve more on-demand guests,” said Noah Glass, Founder and CEO of Olo. “Delivery is a fast-growing segment in the restaurant industry and we are proud to play a role in helping Pancheros operationalize this burgeoning channel.”

While integrating delivery capability into operations, Pancheros will continue on its pursuit to deliver the perfect burrito experience. Dating back to 1992, when founder Rodney Anderson opened the doors to his first restaurant in downtown Iowa City, Iowa, the brand has grown into 13 states with approximately 70 locations and counting.

About Pancheros

The beginning of Pancheros dates back to 1992 when Rodney Anderson opened the brand’s first restaurant in Iowa City, Iowa. Originally modeled after the Chicago taquerias that Anderson had visited often with his friends during his teenage years, the brand’s pursuit of constructing a better built burrito launched Pancheros into an evolution based on simplicity and fresh-pressed tortillas.

Since it’s humble beginnings, Pancheros has earned a loyal following for redefining the standards of modern burritos by using fresh-pressed tortillas and perfectly-mixed ingredients with the help of BOB the Tool, a unique plastic spatula used to carefully mix ingredients together to create the perfect taste in every bite.

Amid its popularity, the brand has successfully grown from its roots and today a robust franchising program has led to 71 locations across 13 states.
