FORT WORTH, Texas – Childrens Lighthouse Early Learning Schools℠, widely recognized as the leading values-based, early-education school in the United States, is celebrating a remarkable year. From internal expansion to national partnerships and industry recognition, Childrens Lighthouse reached new heights in 2019 and is looking forward to continued advancement in 2020.
“As we reflect on the last year at Childrens Lighthouse, there are many accomplishments to highlight,” said Michael Brown, President of Childrens Lighthouse. “We’ve brought on some wonderful members to the corporate team, implemented a partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and opened several new schools across the nation. We look forward to another successful year in 2020.”
In 2019, Childrens Lighthouse opened six schools in several Texas markets, including Prosper, Arlington, Katy, Richmond, Cedar Park and Brookshire. These accomplishments exemplify Childrens Lighthouse’s expansion. Looking ahead to the new year, Childrens Lighthouse anticipates more than twelve openings in 2020 in such Texas cities as Seabrook, Sugar Land, Rosenberg, Corinth, Allen, Mansfield, Forney, Houston, and League City; North Carolina continues to expand with at least one opening scheduled in Raleigh-Durham; Childrens Lighthouse also will enter new markets in 2020 with scheduled Denver, CO (Parker) and Tampa, FL (Valrico) openings. These will all join the 50 existing schools in communities across the country.
To accomplish this growth, Childrens Lighthouse added several members to the leadership team in 2020. Colin Berry was appointed Director of Marketing and Franchise Administration, Jenni Hofherr was promoted to Director of New School Support, Shelly Pair was appointed Director of Operations, Stephanie Russ was brought on as Vice President and General Counsel and Chrissy Barrow holds the new role of Curriculum and Training Specialist.
Childrens Lighthouse also launched its partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with the goal of raising $25,000 for St. Jude in the 2019-2020 school year. The brand surpassed that and has set a new goal of over $30,000 by the end of the 2020 school year. Several Childrens Lighthouse franchisees also contributed to the partnership by raising money locally through fundraising events.
“At Childrens Lighthouse, our teachers focus on different character values each month. These values are weaved into our lessons and encourage children to grow both academically and personally,” Brown continued. “This partnership with St. Jude is an extension of that growth, and by prioritizing philanthropy, we’re able to teach our students about the importance of helping others.”
The mission of Childrens Lighthouse is to connect families together with independent franchise owners in an effort to enrich communities through a relationship based on safety and trust. Childrens Lighthouse does this by partnering with parents to develop children with character values and physical wellness in a S.T.R.E.A.M.℠ enriched learning environment. Additionally, franchisees across the network are actively involved with their local communities and regularly give back through volunteering, donations and more.
