Dale Carnegie Launches Free Webinars for Teachers, Stress Relief Workshops to Support Communities During COVID-19 Outbreak

MELVILLE, NY – Dale Carnegie, the worldwide leader in professional development, performance improvement, and leadership training company, has created a specialized online training webinar to help teachers learn how to educate virtually and individuals manage stress and worry, offered as free resources for the community during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

As part of its effort to support individuals and communities during this time of crisis, Dale Carnegie developed both webinars using the brand’s proven curriculum and training and is making both accessible to all community members at no cost.

“In the face of the massive challenges caused by COVID-19, everyone has something they can do to help their neighbor or their community. For us, it’s making the tools and expertise we already use to help businesses succeed available to the public at no charge in the form of videos and webinars,” said Joe Hart, CEO of Dale Carnegie. “We want to help teachers who are faced with the challenge of teaching full-size classrooms of young students remotely, or individuals struggling with the stress of living under shelter-in-place orders and quarantines. We all owe it to one another to do what we can during this challenging time. It shows the human element at the core of everything we do, something Dale Carnegie was writing and teaching about more than 100 years ago.”

For teachers unaccustomed to digital classrooms, Dale Carnegie’s new webinar was developed specifically for remote educators during COVID-19 school closures to teach effective online teaching practices. The 45-minute webinar, “Engage Your Students in Live Online Learning,” will use proven engagement principles and techniques to cover the fundamentals of online teaching, including getting started online, engaging students, leveraging technology and live online best practices.

In addition to the webinar for teachers, Dale Carnegie has developed a workshop for everyone to manage stress, including making its popular on-demand webinar, “Handling Stress and Supporting Resilience in Times of Crisis,” free online.

“Over the past two weeks, we’ve seen people rushing to find ways to help one another – supporting small businesses, ordering delivery and takeout from neighborhood restaurants, volunteering, donating time and money, delivering food and supplies to elderly or vulnerable neighbors, and simply going out of their way to thank cashiers and service workers who are doing their part to keep our country running,” added Hart. “We wanted to help make a difference in our own way and make life a little easier for our friends and neighbors during a difficult time for all of us.”
