Office Evolution Continues Expansion in Northern Virginia Market

Louisville, Colo. – Office Evolution, the largest coworking franchisor in the U.S., is further expanding its footprint in Virginia by signing a development deal for another location outside of the nation’s capital.

The brand’s significant growth is being driven by the increased demand for suburban coworking office space. As businesses pivot away from expensive real estate in dense city centers, they are turning towards coworking as a solution. Additionally, with many employers realizing that remote work setups are helping workers be more productive, they are understanding that coworking can provide their employees with a safe, flexible and collaborative workspace closer to home. As Washington D.C. businesses look towards the suburbs, the new Office Evolution location will provide private offices, conference rooms, and shared workspace solutions for solopreneurs and small-medium sized businesses.

The new Office Evolution coworking location will be owned and operated by Trey Hardin. Hardin is eyeing Old Town Alexandria, and the Rosslyn-Ballston Corridor in Arlington, among other cities as potential destinations for his location. This will be Office Evolution’s fourth location in northern Virginia. The brand has one location open in Herndon, and another in Tyson’s Corner, with a third location expected to open in Fairfax in August of this year.

“Covid-19 continues to disrupt the modern workplace, and coworking is increasingly positioned as a safe, affordable, and flexible option for businesses of all kinds,” said William Edmundson, Office Evolution COO and Global Workspace Association Board Member. “Office Evolution continues to grow amidst the pandemic due to the increased demand for convenient suburban workspace as businesses move operations towards the suburbs. By bringing a new location to the greater Washington D.C. marketplace, Trey is helping us extend our network and provide vital professional services to solopreneurs and small-medium sized businesses looking to grow their operations.”

Prior to becoming an Office Evolution franchisee, Hardin spent 28 years working in politics, government, lobbying and public relations. He has managed or held senior positions on congressional and gubernatorial campaigns, has worked in the White House for President George H.W. Bush, served as a Chief of Staff on Capitol Hill, been a partner in a successful lobbying firm, and managed major accounts at reputable public relations campaigns. Five years ago, Hardin started his own management consulting firm helping corporate and trade association clients with crisis communications, message and brand development, media relations, and strategic planning. As an entrepreneur himself, Hardin understands the importance of having a professional work environment to support business operations and is looking forward to using his Office Evolution business center to empower other like-minded small and medium sized business owners.

“Office Evolution is uniquely positioned for the rising demand for suburban workspace that offers flexibility, professionalism, and affordable convenience to the modern day solopreneur and small business owner,” stated Hardin. “The Office Evolution model was made for the metropolitan Washington D.C. region, home to the largest employer in the nation – the federal government – and thousands of law firms, businesses and entrepreneurs. I am so enthusiastic about the relevant solutions my Office Evolution business center will have to offer so many hard-working professionals in the region.”

Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, Office Evolution has remained open to continue providing essential business services to its members. At the center of Office Evolution’s success is its Ohana (Hawaiian for family), which has helped relay a sense of business continuity to the thousands of solopreneurs, small and medium sized businesses that utilize the brand’s services across its network.

“Office Evolution has all the ingredients for success in a pandemic economy, which is why our franchisees and our customers have kept moving forward despite the challenges,” stated Chief Marketing and Development Officer Andrea Pirrotti-Dranchak. “Professionals like Trey understand our mission to help bolster operations for solopreneurs and small-medium sized businesses and our customers view us as a trusted partner in their operations. Our Ohana philosophy reinforces our goal of community and collaboration and we can’t wait for Trey to share this vision with the northern Virginia business community.”
