BODYBAR Pilates Signs Agreement to Help Alpharetta Find Its Balance

ALPHARETTA, Ga. – BODYBAR Pilates (BODYBAR), known for its use of core Pilates principals with a modern twist, announced today that it has signed an agreement to raise the bar in Alpharetta with a new studio opening at 210 S. Main St. at The Maxwell shopping center.

The Reformer Pilates studio concept that has become a health and wellness hit in the Dallas – Fort Worth area is now elongating that enthusiasm into Alpharetta. Blending its focus on strength, toning and modern movement with a warm, welcoming, spa-like environment, BODYBAR creates an unmatched Pilates experience centered on fostering a destination where a community of members can come together daily to maintain sound mind, body and spirit.

“Pilates is the one exercise that everyone can do – it’s good for people of any age, and it doesn’t have a shelf life,” said Shannon Renegar, new owner of BODYBAR Pilates Alpharetta. “BODYBAR doesn’t just provide a workout, it adds a modern twist with multiple choices for every level of experience.”

With more than 20 years of marketing experience, Renegar’s robust knowledge of how to understand and offer appeal to a customer base will serve her well as a first-time new business owner. With a dream of always owning her own Pilates studio, Renegar is excited to open her first location in Alpharetta – the first in the state. She has plans in place to open two additional studios in Milton and Buckhead over the next four years.

Using core Pilates principals, each 40 to 50-minute BODYBAR Pilates class is designed to provide a full-body workout that is high-intensity, low-impact and perfect for increasing flexibility, muscle strength, posture and boosting overall health. Whether a member is a 70-year-old wellness guru or a 25-year-old who is just getting started, the BODYBAR workout can be customized to meet everyone’s personal fitness goals.

“At BODYBAR, we’ve worked to build a fitness concept that values community at its core and our franchisees play a pivotal role in fostering that community,” said Matt McCollum, CEO of BODYBAR Pilates. “Shannon has the passion, mindset and drive to ignite the “Transform Your Body, Transform Your Life movement” in Alpharetta and we look forward to growing with her in suburban Atlanta.”

From single-use equipment that is disinfected between each workout, to appropriate spacing of the reformers and ample time between classes, BODYBAR’s steadfast commitment to the safety of its members and employees remains top priority. Furthermore, it recently launched its virtual platform, BODYBAR Live. Those who do not currently feel comfortable stepping into the studio can book live streams on the platform or access pre-recorded classes on-demand. With the virtual class option and strategic number of reformers in-studio, BODYBAR franchise owners can maximize revenue and hold a competitive advantage over others in the Reformer Pilates space.

Halfway through the year, BODYBAR remains on target toward its goal of signing 25 agreements and 50 units before the end of 2020. Key expansion territories across the United States include Austin, Houston and San Antonio in Texas as well as Kansas City, Oklahoma City, Phoenix, Tampa Bay and Salt Lake City.
