Maui Wowi Hawaiian Brings the American Dream to Little Elm, Texas

Maui Wowi Hawaiian has found its newest community and a franchise operator eager to enter the world of entrepreneurship and bring the tropical themed coffee and smoothie company to Little Elm, Texas. Scott Carr has been awarded a Maui Wowi franchise agreement and is ready to begin building a business he can call his own.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to own my own business. Franchising with Maui Wowi is a low-cost investment that has proven systems already established so you aren’t trying to reinvent the wheel,” said Carr. “I loved the simplicity of the product, the concept, the laidback Hawaiian attitude and flip flop style. It was very catchy and I knew it would be a great fit.”

As a hard working single father of three girls, Scott spent 16 years climbing the ranks at a corporate restaurant chain, while looking for a way to achieve his dream. It was there that he met his wife Enma who grew up in El Salvador, longing to one day achieve that very same American dream. After marrying, experiencing a Hawaiian honeymoon, and having two children of their own, it was clear that now was the time to take the leap and make their dreams come true.

“When I introduced Maui Wowi to my lovely wife, she immediately had the same reaction as I did. We were hooked,” said Carr. “We couldn’t think of a more suitable company for us to join than Maui Wowi.”

Together, they plan to build a family oriented business using their combined 40+ years of restaurant experience. Starting out with a fixed kiosk location, Carr plans to eventually grow the Maui Wowi business in Texas and to take advantage of the flexible business models. Along with the kiosk, Carr says he would like to have mobile event carts, inline retail, and even catering.

His ultimate vision is to have the ability to create a strong community presence by using his business to promote fundraising efforts and giving to charitable causes. As an active member of his church, Carr hopes to one day make the Maui Wowi brand synonymous with community involvement.
