LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Potbelly Sandwich Shop announced today that it will bring a second location to Little Rock in the spring of 2017. This neighborhood hangout will be situated in downtown Little Rock inside the historic Lyon Building at 401 W. Capitol Ave. The restaurant will bring even more of its signature toasted sandwiches, hand-dipped milkshakes and live, local music to the Little Rock area.
Potbelly shops have earned a reputation in communities across the United States for having delicious food, fun décor and fresh tunes. Local resident Ryan Hamra, the shop’s franchise owner, also owns the existing Potbelly location in Little Rock on University Street. This new location will be the second of a four-unit Arkansas agreement that Hamra has signed with Potbelly.
“There couldn’t be a more ideal time to open our second location in Little Rock,” said Hamra. “The Potbelly demand is high in downtown Little Rock and we are excited to extend our vibes further throughout the area.”
Hamra will oversee both Potbelly Sandwich Shops in Little Rock with the assistance of general manager Kevin Barnes. They will be handling the shop’s day-to-day operations, hiring new staff and booking local musicians. The new location will be open Mondays through Fridays and will offer breakfast and lunch, and it will be decorated to represent the local Little Rock community.

Potbelly Sandwich Shop first opened in Chicago in 1977, and now includes more than 400 shops across the United States. There are also 30-plus franchise shops in the United States and abroad, and the company is projecting more franchised shops to open in 2017.
