PARAMUS, NJ – As franchising remains a hot global opportunity, MFV Expositions, recognized for producing the leading franchise events worldwide, has joined forces with NIKKEI Inc. to further global expansion in the sector by introducing a U.S. pavilion within the Japan International Franchise Show. Held at the Tokyo Big Sight Jan. 31-Feb. 2, the three-day event is designed to unite qualified prospective franchise owners with growing Japanese, American, and other global franchisors in the largest franchise market in Asia – Japan.
Recognized as Japan’s largest franchise exhibition, more than 200 franchisors are expected to attend, in addition to 15 U.S.-based franchise brands. U.S. franchisors will be equipped with a designated booth, complementary graphics, an on-site translator and pre-arranged prospective franchisee one-on-one appointments. Additionally, senior level executives will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with both new and existing investors among the 30,000 expected attendees.
“It’s an honor to work with such a professional organization as NIKKEI, together growing the franchise industry, globally,” said Tom Portesy, president of MFV Expositions. “The Japan International Franchise Show draws highly qualified prospects hungry for new business opportunities and we anticipate many of our U.S. exhibitors awarding franchises based on expo meetings.”
Trade shows provide a setting to converse and meet with talented prospects, and allow your development teams to interact with fellow franchisors and prospective investors on a deeper level. These invaluable relationships, whether based in friendship or in business, are crucial to your brand’s identity and growth, especially when breaking into new international markets.
“When it comes to growing a brand through franchising, tradeshows remain one of the soundest investments available,” said President and CEO of I. Fujita International, Inc. Ichiro Roy Fujita who played an instrumental role in helping arrange the strategic MFV-NIKKEI partnership. “It’s a privilege to connect these two world leaders who I’ve done business with for over 25 years to bring together an exceptional global event.”
Given that 95 percent of the world’s potential consumers are beyond U.S. borders, there is a lot of market potential yet to be tapped and American brands are going global with increasing intensity. This trend has been driven not just by the big franchise players, but by up-and-comers as well, proving to be a unique strategy for early rapid global growth.
“Collaborating with leading international trade show organizer, MFV Expositions, to host a group of U.S. franchisors and exhibitors at our Japan International Franchise Show will make our event a global show,” stated Mr. Hasegawa, NIKKEI’s manager in charge of Japan International Franchise Show.
